I have been invited to a Barn Party!

I'm going to a barn party!

Hey if I can't find time to get out to a real barn party a virtual one has to be the next best thing, right?

I am so excited, the invitation says I can bring a date. Of course it is Rodi.  Did you think I would bring anyone else?

We are going to dress for the occasion in our best overalls.  I am sure he will not even think of going without his favorite quilted flannel.  Shhhh.... I know he wears it so when I get super cold I can give him that loving look, the one that says if you love me you will let me wear that warm and cozy flannel.  By mid-evening he will be claiming he is fine, when people ask if he is cold.  I will be nice and toasty warm in the cozy quilted flannel given to me by the man I love.  He really is the BEST!

Of course I can't wait to see the chickens!  I have become a real chicken lover these days. They are just the most entertaining little creatures.  Everyone should have chickens.

Rodi and I would just love to play a game of Frisbee with Abbey Goat!  Ok, so everyone knows I can't throw a Frisbee. Truth be told I want to bring my camera and take pictures of Rodi playing Frisbee with Abbey Goat!

Once the games are done the feast will begin.  I have thought long and hard about what dish I will be bringing. I think I might have to bring a couple of dishes.  Dish #1, my sausage pot pie.  Dish #2, those yummy cream cheese, onion, bacon pinwheels.  Too much pork?  Nah.

I hope you decide to join us at the Barn Party.  It would be really great to see all of my friends and family there too!

Hi, I found you over at Patrice's barn party! I was reading throug your chicken post, and I really fell off my chair laughing. We have 12 laying chickens and 2 dwarf hens and 1 dwarf rooster that thinks he's a big rooster. We just had chicks a few weeks ago. I'll be dropping in again soon. And I love your potluck suggestions, yum!
